Following a competitive tender with a panel of three, … Read More >>

Liam Molloy, General Manager, Electric Ireland; Charley Stoney, MD, FMI; Andrew Salter, Sales Manager, FMI

Following a competitive tender with a panel of three, Field Management Ireland (FMI) has been awarded a major field sales contract by Irish energy company, Electric Ireland (formerly ESB Electric Ireland) for 2012. The contract will generate a total of 100 jobs and will see FMI carry out all residential field sales activity for Electric Ireland this year.

The announcement follows a hugely lucrative partnership between FMI and Electric Ireland in 2011, which saw the launch of a vigorous field sales campaign throughout the country. FMI’s team of highly trained field sales representatives will be tasked with directly selling electricity and gas supplies to residential consumers. They will also be offering additional Home Energy services to consumers including gas boiler maintenance at reduced rates, attic and cavity wall insulation, and boiler replacement.

The sales team will be supported by a strong marketing campaign which has been successfully raising awareness of Electric Ireland’s offering since this Irish brand was launched last year. As a result of this new partnership contract, the brand expects to increase its market share amongst residential gas customers

Commenting on the announcement, Charley Stoney, Managing Director, FMI Ireland said; “At FMI Ireland we are thrilled to have been awarded the Electric Ireland residential field sales contract, we have spent many years perfecting the training, development and deployment of our direct sales teams. As a result, we have at our disposal over a thousand highly trained sales staff available countrywide, who can deal with a variety of customers including the lucrative residential market”.

On awarding the residential field sales contract to FMI Ireland, Liam Molloy, General Manager with Electric Ireland said; “Having worked with FMI on the launch of our Electric Ireland field sales strategy in 2011, we were hugely impressed by the quality and the professional attitude of their direct sales team. Electric Ireland made significant gains in 2011 exceeding sales targets nationwide and we look forward to continuing our partnership with FMI in 2012”.

“Quick, efficient, real time reporting is vital for retail success. That’s why we’re investing €50,000 in new technology to give our clients an added edge over competitors in the marketplace. The FMI system, RealTimeFocus has been recently upgraded for the mobile Android platform and we have chosen to partner with Samsung mobile, using both the Galaxy ACE & Galaxy TAB handsets.” That’s the comment from Charley Stoney, Managing Director of FMI Ltd, Ireland’s leading field management company following the firms purchase of the new handsets which will be used by personnel in retail environments throughout Ireland.

FMI have always been leaders and innovators in the area of remotely based reporting technology, becoming the first field management company to utilise handheld units in the field and then the first to offer online reporting.

Gary Twohig, Managing Director, Samsung Mobile said: “The notion of hard working technology has never been more apt than with the use of our Samsung Smartphones by FMI. They are as versatile and flexible as FMI’s service and we’re pleased that they have set FMI apart from the competition.”

FMI’s RealTimeFocus delivers instant online reporting to clients including Kraft, Glanbia, PepsiCo, P&G, Boots and Tesco Finance, from a password protected website. In addition, clients can receive notification by email to inform them that their individual report is ready for viewing. The effect is to achieve great accuracy from the field, better outcomes and more meaningful results faster than ever before.
